A LITTLE AUSTRALIA UPDATE

So  its been almost a month since I started my little Australian adventure and if I'm honest I didn't know what to expect. I didn't think I would have travelled the amount I have so far, which okay isn't too far for some, but I've made it to Australia for one and then travelled to and around Sydney on seperate occasions and gone up to the Whitsundays islands all before I feel I've even had chance to find my feet in my new current home town of Newcastle.
So the plan for now? I'm getting a job near my families home and I'm going to settle here for a while, with the occasional trip to Sydney as that's not too far on the train, which have a top / middle / bottom deck by the way, how cool is that?!, and hopefully go to Melbourne for a week or 2 in December to visit some friends who have also come over from Brighton and friends that I met in the Whitsundays.

PREPPING FOR THE MOVE TO AUSTRALIA

If you've followed my blog since the 're-make' then you'll know at the beginning of the year I booked a one way ticket to Australia and now the day I leave is fast approaching (12 days to be exact), so I wanted to start a little prep series of what I've been doing to prepare and basically get my shit together. I thought I'd start with a post about packing away and getting rid off to maybe help anyone who needs to do the same and is feeling overwhelmed by it all.

A CITY GUIDE: DAY 1 IN BUDAPEST

Finally back again with another Budapest post, day one of what I got up too! So I was in Budapest for 4 days but really it felt like 48 hours as the other 2 days were spent travelling (who knew such a short flight still took up a whole day) but we were able to cram so much into such a small space of time I thought I'd show you what we managed too see and I guess recommend if you're thinking of heading to Budapest.

TAKE SOMETIME FOR YOURSELF

It's a Sunday so what better time to just take some time out from life and just relax? That is exactly what I look forward to doing on Sunday's, I like to take it slow maybe have a little pamper or literally slob out in last nights Pj's with Netflix all day.

MAINTAINING A 'COOLER' HAIR TONE

Its no secret I've always been a lover of lighter / blonder hair and gone to all lengths to achieve it (anyone remember sun-in and John Frieda Go Blonder lightening spray?) and I was a huge fan of the caramel toned blondes, until the ashy silvery blonde hair came in and I was determined and hooked on re-creating and banishing any warm tones from my own barnet. So since have been on a quest for the perfect routine for keeping brassy tones at bay.

BRIGHTON BLOGGER MEET

photo taken from: elzbthchlmrspps
On the 19th of March a group of bloggers were invited over to The Globe for a blogger meet up which was hosted and organised by the lovely Laura over at Lola and Behold which gave me the chance too not only meet some of the lovely ladies I'd met at my first blogger meet up 3 years ago, but too also meet some new gorgeous ladies too and take my gorgeous twin along too, to meet some local bloggers, so we chatted all afternoon and got to know a few brands too.

MINI EGGS CHOCOLATE EASTER CAKE

First of all, Happy Easter everyone! I've been getting into baking quiet a bit recently and after making my Banana and chocolate chip bread for weeks and weeks, my little brother came to me and asked if I'd try to make a chocolate cake as its the only cake he'll eat and I thought why not?! And what a better time than Easter too give it a go, so I searched the for a chocolate cake recipe and came across Mary Berry's but decided to add my own little twist.

BANANA & CHOCOLATE CHIP BREAD

Now I'm not much of a baker or cook, but when it comes to something quick and easy, some of you may say basic, I'm all over it. A few weeks back I moved in with my friend Agnes for about a month and while there she made all types of treats, but this really stood out to me and only recently finding a love of bananas I was pleasantly surprised. I can't take credit for this recipe at all, its all down to Agnes but since moving back home I've made it every weekend without fail and it goes down a treat each time, so I thought I'd share it and maybe some of you will want to dabble in a quick and easy but fail safe treat.

BRAND LOVE: NUDE SKINCARE

My previous job had me discover and fall in love with so many new brands I'd never heard of before and NUDE was one that really stood out for. Not just for the cute purple packaging but really learning and understand the brand was just so interesting to me.
